Jennifer McCoy, Pharm.D, Pharmacist-In-Charge/Compounding Pharmacist

My name is Jennifer Parker McCoy. I was born and raised in Sikeston, MO. I was involved in girl scouts, swim team, cheerleading, church activities and school activities (Red Peppers pep club, choir, and other clubs). I am a third generation pharmacist. My grandfather Archie Parker served over fifty years as a pharmacist. He worked in Essex, Dexter and Sikeston. His father was a pharmacist in Essex too. I grew up visiting my grandfather's family owned pharmacy in Dexter. His caring attitude for others helped me in my decision to become a pharmacist.

I went to pharmacy school at the University of MIssouri-Kansas City and graduated in 2004. I loved the time that I spent there getting an education, working and visiting new places. My husband Jamie is also from Sikeston so we decided to move back closer to home near both families. We have two children, Elizabeth and William, and a black Labrador puppy name Bailey.

My work experience has included retail (CVS, Walgreens), Costco Wholesale and independent (Thriftway Drugs which became MediCenter Pharmacy). In 2013, my husband and I along with our business partner Don Schreiber, opened the MediCenter Pharmacy in Cape Girardeau. We wanted to duplicate the wonderful services that were available at the MediCenter Pharmacy in Jackson. It has been challenging and exciting. We have a great staff, wonderful customers and learn new things every day. We also were able to add compounding to our list of services. Through compounding, we are able to help so many people to have access to individualized medication. I feel so blessed to serve my customers through MediCenter Pharmacy.
